disgraceful, no wonder no one turns up for our matches, getting a bit tired of this, need answers and quick

We can't afford to play at LSV, simple as that as far as I can tell.

Don't think we are ever going to be able to either. If there was investors who took the club on board theyre going to be working at a loss evry game we play there. They charge £8 per player for catering costs for christs sake

Gonna start putting the euro milions on, if I win i'll buy a plot of land (perhaps the old hilton park area) and build us a ground there

Wouldnt hold any high hopes on me winning though

ive been doin euro millions for a few yrs now but if and when i win ill do exactly that.

About as much chance of that happening than owt else, I suppose!

I think you are doing very with the league allowing this. Funny how they stopped us moving home games this season. Slightly different circumstances, but only slightly. There is one constant though, that neither club can afford to play at their "home" ground. FC have been stopped from moving certain games ie home cup games (not that they are relevant anymore )
But to be honest I really hope you guys can get some roots laid down. I don't see how and it is a shame for you. Those of you that have been travelling around deserve medals and fair play to you.

Slightly different situation with FCUM though in that you've never had a ground to call your own and knew (to an extent) what you were heading in to when you moved to Bury - unfortunately, we only found out the truth about LSV once Hilton Park was beyond repair and we were backed in to a corner. Very hard to keep going at the minute though.

Exactly, hence saying its slightly different. The principle is still the same though.
Its a dig at the league, not Leigh in any way at all as you know.

Because of the cost of hiring the ground. Apparently, and I dont know this for certain, the club just about broke even from the FCUM game, with a crowd of 1300. You have to therefore assume that the other game played there against Hednesford with a crowd of 344 must have incurred a substantial loss to the club. Obviously they cannot continue on that basis.
It would appear to be cheaper to hire another ground than to play at LSV,which is a disgraceful situation.
Matt is right in that this is NOT what was promised at the outset, and the club has been sold down the river.

My understanding is that the club is currently not a "partner" in the ground and is therefore being charged full commercial rates to use it. Once new investors are in place and a business plan submitted the club would become a partner and presumably cheaper rates would apply.
Either way the present situation is totally unsatisfactory and needs sorting out quickly

games at LSV are about 5k and games at the `home` grounds are about 400 quid . sure someone will agree with them figures .
while talking about the `home` games , there are suitable grounds in ashton in makerfield

People are being deprived from football in Leigh, I know we dont really get a lot of people watching but I'm sure we would get more fans than we did at Hilton Park.

Its off-putting for the fans aswell, travelling a rediculous distance for a home game. This really can't keep going on for the club because it probably will spell the end for us.

As its been said, the cost for using the stadium is a lot and we cant afford it. No-one seems to be giving the club any support at the moment as in financially.

We are the "Here & There Genesis" at the moment.

I think the most annoying thing, for me anyway, is the actual distance away to a 'home' ground that the league consider 'suitable'. The timing of Hilton Park being demolished couldn't have been worse to be honest. It could even be argued that the 'potential investors' would probably face a better chance of gaining anything out of the club by looking towards developing a football ground within the surrounding area, up to Unibond league standards. The problem being, where? There are plenty of football pitches in Leigh/Atherton/Astley etc, but I'm pretty sure you need at least 3 stands/ends for the Unibond officials to deem it satisfactory.

Hopefully one of us will win a few million in the lottery!

Could we not open just one stand of the LSV (ideally the terraces) ?

It would require less stewards and if im right in saying, the cost to use the ground would be lower.

Of-course it may not be that simple to do but it may be a solution?

That's effectively the situation already when opening a portion of the North and half of the West with only one refreshment kiosk etc, don't see how many more cuts can be made but the LSV don't want to play ball until, at their discretion, we become a 'partner'.

just done the math and to cover 5000k costs we will need 625 paying on the day adults alone. is this 5000k a game figure thou just the rent or is that stewarding costs and catering costs on top of that as well not to mention players wages thou i knw where not paying these at the mo but eventually we will start again?

5k just to hold agame , my source says this will drop once a business plan has been handed in to the lsv.
anyone thought of getting a facebook page for the lgsa and doing what the other facebook couldnt do get money into the club through the lgsa .

seems like a good idea to do one....
