Free coach travel to Buxton game

With Leigh Genesis in the unfortunate situation of having to host a 'home' fixture in Warrington on Easter Monday, the club have responded with a provision of free coach travel from Leigh to Warrington Town's Cantilever Park home.

Following a thrilling four games undefeated Genesis Manager Garry Flitcroft is looking forward to rounding-off the Easter weekend with an exciting must-win game against fellow relegation-fighters Buxton.

The game is having to be played away from "home" once again for the final time as Leigh Centurions had already secured a long-standing arrangement of a fixture against Barrow Raiders, and Buxton were reluctant to move the date or kick off time for the match to allow it to be played at home in Leigh's magnificent Sports Village Stadium.

Despite great efforts by everyone at Genesis and the LSV Co, hands were tied and therefore the game had to be played on Easter Monday with a 3pm kick off. Fortunately, local Unibond North side Warrington Town were happy to accommodate the game and with the fired-up Genesis side ready to take on the visitors regardless of venue, attention was rightly turned to the supporters. Manager Flitcroft said recently,

"It's disappointing, having seen the the potential for growth that being back in our home town offers.

At the end of the day the main thing for us is to get the three points, so it wont matter where it's played as far as that's concerned, but it's just disappointing for the fans. However, we are enjoying a good run and I am completely confident in the team and that is where our focus will be, regardless of venue."

In the knowledge that many supporters had already planned an Easter day out at the Centurions game, Genesis are laying on a FREE coach to transfer supporters from the LSV Sadium at the end of the Centurions game to Warrington Town's Cantilever Park Ground.

Because of the opposition's resistance to a change in kick off time, it is anticipated that fans travelling on the bus may miss the first ten minutes of play, however to minimise this, match tickets and programmes will be sold on the coach, and immediate access to the ground on arrival will be facilitated. Match tickets are just £8 for adults, £5 concessions and £2 under 18's, season ticket holders free, with the programme just £2 a copy, and remember, the coach transport is absolutely free.

This 44-seater coach is sure to be in great demand, and tickets will be issued on a fist-come-first-served basis. The coach will leave promptly, 5-10 minutes after the final whistle, so please make your way to the bus as quickly as you are able. The "Anthony's Travel" coach will display a "Leigh Genesis" sign in the window and will be located in the coach bay near the North (terraced) Stand of the LSV Stadium immediately after the end of the Centurion's game.

The coach will then return all the supporters to the LSV stadium, leaving 5-10 minutes after the final whistle from outside the Cantilever Park Ground.

We hope as many of our fans as possible can come along and get behind the team this Monday and make this a real action-packed, fun-filled day out!
