Forward Jamie Baguley joined Leigh Genesis in June 2009 from UniBond Premier League club FC United of Manchester, signing for Leigh at the same time as brother Chris.

Jamie began his career with Stockport County, before playing for Altrincham ahead of a successful three years with FC United of Manchester.

Whilst playing for United, Jamie claimed the record of being the first goalscorer at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium, scoring twice in FCUM's 2-0 victory over Leigh Genesis in January 2009, the first game to take place at Leigh's new home.

Jamie made his full Leigh Genesis debut in a 2-0 defeat away to Lancaster City on Tuesday 25th August 2009.
