Very disappointing, really thought we'd left all this behind last year. Really hope that every effort is made to avoid such a situation in future.

Are the LSV now saying they cant stage the rugby on the Monday and the football on Tuesday?? If so what is going to happen from February to May when the seasons clash again and there is a strong possibility of football and rugby being scheduled for Sat/Sun on the same weekend. These people are fast becoming a total liability.

de ja vu, sure we have been in this situation before, not good enough, like matt said thought we had left all this behind, seems not, fans will not be happy, and im one of them unhappy ones

seems again we have totally been shafted again by the lsv. surely this is a breach of contract in some description and we should be compensated for loss of income. what was wrong with the wednesday night for the rugby which has been penciled in for months now?

Sky picked Batley-Halifax to be on telly so that's taking place on the Thursday. Can't understand why we couldn't just play at the LSV on the Tuesday.

why didnt they just do a full day of sport at LSV, or even have the footy kicking off at dinner, easily enought time to change the posts, lets just hope its the only time the football are gonna be moved this season

Would have worked at Hilton Park, Paul, but no chance at the LSV. Different ball game these days.

Matt, what is the official reason given for not being able to play at LSV on the Tuesday night??

Don't know, still trying to dig in to it. I do know the LSV aren't keen on having games 2 nights in a row though, hence our midweek games being on Wednesday's with t'Dingles playing on a Monday (not sure how that works if the rugby are at home on the Sunday though).

Im not keen on having to get up 4 work in the mornings but I do it's what I get paid to do.

Why are the club paying them then? Its their job to run a bloody stadium. If they cant manage two days with over 24 hrs between the first one finishing and the second one starting then why do they @#$%& bother in the first place?

Completely agree, Dave. Mind boggles with this decision, but I suppose the club's hands are largely tied.

Suppose your right. There probably is nothing the club could have done.

It sounds selfish really, we have got this brand new ground and no one likes it. It just doesn't compensate for most things people like about non-league football

ps I've still not bought any food or drink before the game or at half time yet and I don't plan on doing all season. Anyone who wants to join in on the boycott, feel free

That's a top effort mate, and I just about managed to join you in the boycott on Tuesday. Old habits die hard though, and if I've got the money in my pocket then I still tend to buy a half-time pint.

This raises several other points.
Does the club have a legal signed agreement to play games at the LSV? If so then surely the LSV cant just cancel games on a whim. There is no reason why they cannot stage 2 games on consecutive days, but if this IS their reason then why can we not play on the Wednesday?

If the club does have an agreement then is the LSV going to compensate the club for the ground hire and subsequent loss of revenue by having to play a home game at Chorley? Are they going to compensate the fans for the extra travel costs??

If they have 2 scheduled games over a weekend from Feb to May, are they going to tell Centurions they cant play on the Sunday??

These people seem determined to be as awkward and unhelpful as possible when it comes to football. As it is a council run facility, can local councillors not help?

Well what a let down, rather disappointing and agree with what everyone has said already.
Unfortunatly Dave I didn't kick off to a good start I bought a Yorkie but at 90P!!! I dont think theres much chance of that again

I'm sure there will be a clause in the contract somewhere, would be good to see what happens when LGFC have a home game on the Saturday and the Centurions have a home on the Sunday, if the rugby match gets moved, or they have to play away somewhere, or whether the game gets to be played at the LSV (this being the more likely)

If the club has an agreement with the LSV then I think they should at the very least compensate the fans with free coach travel to the match.

I just think that the people who run the LSV have no appreciation for football in this town.
