Andy Heald scored his second goal in successive games as Leigh Genesis came from behind to extend their unbeaten run to three league games with a share of the spoils at Mossley.
With centre back Karl Munroe missing through suspension following his sending off in to the defeat to Lancaster earlier in the season, Mark Ross found himself alongside Jonathan Smith in the centre of defence, with Paul Howarth restored to right back, while Tom Ince returned on the left hand side of midfield after missing last weekend's 4-2 victory away to Ossett Albion.
Hosts Mossley, who had ex-Leigh man Karl Brown performing impressively in the centre of midfield and former team-mate Steve Settle on their bench, took the lead on thirty four minutes when Genesis conceded what is already the fourth penalty of the season when JOnathan Smith clumsily brought down his man, having already won the ball. Unfortunately, unlike his heroics of last weekend, Stephen Drench was unable to keep out the penalty, with Matt Kay slotting home the spot kick and Smith shown a yellow card for his troubles.
Genesis boss Garry Flitcroft made a change at half-time when Paul Howarth was replaced by Dale Whitham, and within ten minutes of the restart his side were level when Andy Heald outjumped the goalkeeper to head the ball home.
Jordan Stepien had a couple of opportunities to put his side in front, but found himself thwarted by the goalkeeper being being replaced by Jamie Baguley, with Settle almost having the final say against his old club but the scores finishing level ahead of Leigh's trip to North Wales to face Colwyn Bay on Tuesday night.

Lol fair enough!
I thought first half was an open game. We played some good football at times and the ball spent more time in their half more than ours but I have to admit they probably had more shots on goal becuase they wasn't scared of taking a chance. I thought we spent too much time passing it around the outside of their area rather than having a crack at goal.
Drench pulled off a wonderul save as well from a full-on volley from one of their forwards.
Second half I thought we gave the ball away too easily and that allowed them to put us under some unecessary pressure at times, they even hit the post late on.
We still made a couple of good chances ourselves though it has to be said that Healdy's goal came out of nowhere.
Don't know what the extent of the damage is but Healdy went off late on and appeared to be in some discomfort with one of his knees
The penalty came out of the blue really and was needless as the ball appeared to be going away from goal, so it wasnt really a goal scoring chance and it didnt need a lunging challenge.
2nd half Mossley got on top for periods and had a few decent strikes at goal, hit the bar and Drench made a decent save.
Leigh goal was a brave header by Healdy who must have known he was bound to collide with the keeper, but still never flinched. The chance came from a shocking attempted clearance by a defender, who ballooned the ball up in the air inside his own box.
