Borough battle in Lancashire Trophy

Leigh Genesis’ reward for their thrilling penalty shoot-out defeat of neighbours Atherton Laburnum Rovers in the Lancashire Co-Operative Challenge Trophy is a Second Round tie against North West Counties League side Ashton Athletic.

The two sides met as recently as December 2007 at the quarter final stage of the same competition when two goals from Mark Smyth earned a comfortable 3-1 Leigh victory at Brocstedes Park.

The Second Round tie is due to be played the week commencing Monday 2nd November, with full date and venue details to be confirmed in due course.

Clitheroe vs Fleetwood Town
Leigh Genesis vs Ashton Athletic
Marine vs Daisy Hill

Hope it's as good as the last round!

Was hoping Barrow and Southport would get less favourable draws though.
