Defender Lee Woodyatt joined Leigh Genesis in December 2009, making his debut at right back in a 1-1 draw with FC Halifax Town at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium on 5th December 2009.

Woodyatt began his career with hometown club Chester City and actually spent a period on loan with Leigh late in the 2002/2003 Nationwide Conference season before later playing in the Blue Square Premier for Barrow.

After less than six months with Leigh, Woodyatt left the club in May 2010 to join former manager Garry Flitcroft at league rivals Chorley.
