Coach travel to Ashton

Hurst Cross

Despite losing home advantage for Saturday's home fixture against Curzon Ashton because of the unavailability of the Leigh Sports Village Stadium, Leigh Genesis are doing their utmost to ensure that they have as many supporters as possible at Ashton United's Hurst Cross ground for Saturday's 3pm kick off.

Heavily subsidised coach travel is being offered to Leigh supporters which will be free of charge for season ticket holders and just £2 each for non-season ticket holders.

The coach will be leaving the Leigh Sports Village Stadium at 1:30pm on Saturday afternoon and returning immediately after the game.

Anybody wishing to reserve their seat should send an e-mail to info@leighgenesis.com or alternatively a text message to 07800 874 831.

With the recent cold weather showing little sign of disappearing, supporters are advised to check the club's website before travelling to the game as the fixture will be subject to a pitch inspection on Saturday morning.

I've got a couple of seats booked on there, saves driving (if it's on).

If anyone would be kind enough to spread the word via the usual channels (Facebook, texts etc) then please do so.

If these pictures are anything to go by, the game might be in doubt...

While it's so cold Nick, it's best to keep the snow on as it'll give it protection from the frost. The trick is to get it cleared before it melts and leaves the place waterlogged!

Covered all the bases there, Nick!

Stockport-Oldham already off but Atherton LR and Daisy Hill still on according to North West Counties website.

LR and Daisy Hill both off, but Ashton Town have got a 10am pitch inspection for anyone wishing to stay cheap (and local). Rochdale, Macclesfield and Accrington all currently going ahead.
