Genesis face hectic Easter period

With Leigh Genesis on the crest of a wave after Saturday's thumping 5-0 win away to Garforth Town, Garry Flitcroft's side are hitting form at just the right moment as a hectic Easter programme appears on the horizon.
Level on points with Curzon Ashton in the chase for the final spot in the play-offs, Genesis will face a severe test of their promotion credentials with five fixtures coming up in a period of less than two weeks.
First comes the short trip to struggling neighbours Salford City on Tuesday evening (30th March, 7.45pm kick off) before leaders Lancaster City visit the Leigh Sports Village Stadium for a Good Friday encounter at 3pm on Friday 2nd April.
This is quickly followed by a short Easter Monday journey to fellow high-flyers Skelmersdale United for a 3pm kick off on Monday 5th April, before the unavailability of the LSV sees Chorley's Victory Park become the venue for a 'home' fixture against Radcliffe Borough on Thursday 8th April (7.45pm), just two days before Bamber Bridge visit the LSV for a 3pm Saturday game (10th April).
Just three fixtures remain after this run of games, so the club's loyal supporters will have a much better idea of their side's UniBond League First Division North encounter before the bargain basement has rid itself of the surplus Easter eggs.

Thursday night football should be interesting! Glad we get a bit more of a rest after the Skem game, to be honest.

After watching Lancaster today against Mossley, Leigh have every chance of beating them next week, they didnt look like a top of the league side at all. Mossley were all over them 2nd half and should have won, but after equalizing near the end they went all out for the winner and got caught on the break.
Dont get me wrong they are a good side but no better than a lot of sides in this division, obviously Connerton needs looking after, Mossley did a job on him but ironically his partner up, front scored both goals.

Must admit Paul that Lancaster have really impressed me on the two occasions I've seen them so far, especially at the back, but I did get the impression from their recent results that they were getting a bit jittery. Will cheering on the lads from afar!
