There will be celebrations in the Flitcroft household this evening after Rochdale secured promotion for the first time in over 40 years with a 1-0 win over Northampton Town at Spotland.
For those who aren't aware, the Rochdale assistant manager is David Flitcroft, brother of Genesis boss Garry and Leigh midfielder Steve, meaning that the 'Dale will finally get a chance to compete in League One having previously missed out in the play-off final at Wembley.
Well done to David, Keith Hill and the lads at Spotland, and good luck in League One next year!

Will be interesting to see how they do in League One next year, teams either seem to get promoted again straight away or go straight back down - I just hope they can stay up for a couple of years at least.
