Grove Sports friendly cancelled

Please note that Leigh Genesis' friendly against Grove Sports, scheduled to take place on Saturday 17th July, will no longer be taking place.
Leigh begin their pre-season campaign on Tuesday 13th July with a trip to Chadderton, and any clubs who wish to fill in the gap left by the above cancellation are advised to contact Matt Lawton (matt.lawton@leighgenesis.com) or Mary Croasdale (mary.croasdale@leighgenesis.com) as soon as possible.

Going watching Windscale Utd v Barrow on Saturday. Train to Whitehaven, then a 20 min bus ride to Egremont.Should be differant, seeing Leigh have no game on.

Bit of a trek that one Mick, lovely scenery up there though.
Think it'll be Prestwich-LR for me if we don't get a game sorted.

As the first game, can the club not have a club vs fans game at Crilly?

If it carries on lashing down then I don't fancy getting wet through at Prestwich - anyone got a back up plan?

Noticed that Runcorn's first game at their new ground is against Witton on Saturday so that could be a possibility, though still obviously hoping to get to the LR game.

no there isnt according to there site umbrella at the ready but sure forecast is ok for weekend

Looked yesterday and it was forecast showers so we should be ok for Prestwich, nutters on the M60 withstanding. Can just shelter in the bar if it lashes down.

Spoke to Paul Settle at Chadderton on Tuesday and suggested the game, I'm sure he'll pop up on here if he needs a lift...?
