NATHAN McDONALD

Twenty one year old striker Nathan McDonald joined Leigh Genesis in January 2011 having most recently played with fellow Evo-Stik League First Division North side Woodley Sports.

McDonald started his career with Stoke City and was a regular in their reserve side before later appearing for Mossley, Salford City and a spell in Sweden with Friska Viljor.

McDonald made his Leigh debut as a substitute in a home defeat to Witton Albion on Tuesday 11th January 2011, with his full debut coming in a 3-1 loss away to Garforth Town a week later.

Nathan's first goal for Leigh came as the winning goal in a 3-2 win over Trafford at Crilly Park in the Evo-Stik League First Division North on Tuesday 25th January 2011 on the night where he played alongside brother Marvin for the first time in a Leigh shirt.
