International football comes to Hilton Park!

International football comes to Hilton Park this weekend when Slovakia take on the Czech Republic in the UEFA Under 17's European Championship.

The game kicks off at 4pm and costs just £1 for adults, with under 16's being admitted for free.

For those who haven't visited Hilton Park before, details about directions/parking are provided below.

Car parking is provided on a car park behind the Main Stand (smaller of the two stands) close to the only turnstile used by RMI. Street parking is also available in surrounding streets and there is a multi-storey car park in Leigh town centre, approximately half a mile from Hilton Park. It is also possible to park on the adjacent B&Q superstore or the Asda superstore across Atherleigh Way from the stadium.

Come off M61 at junction 5 (Westhoughton/Bolton) follow the Westhoughton sign to roundabout then pick up the Leigh sign, keep on the main road to the traffic lights, turn left onto Leigh Rd carry on about 3 miles to the traffic lights. Turn left and 1st right to the next set of traffic lights. Turn right onto Atherleigh Way, A579 at the first set of traffic lights, turn left (B&Q on right), at the next set of traffic lights turn right (Leigh town centre), at the 2nd opening on the right turn into Prescott St, carry on to the top, turn right, ground to the left.

From M6 North: Leave M6 at Junction 23, head towards Manchester on the A580, take the A579 signposted Bolton and Pennington Flash, continue along this road till you see the ASDA Store on left and the football ground on right, turn right at the traffic lights then right again into Glebe St, next right into Chadwick St and ground straight ahead.

From M6 South: Leave M6 at junction 22 and take the A572 (Winwick Lane) towards Leigh, then take the A580 towards Manchester, left onto the A579 signposted Bolton and Pennington Flash, continue along this road till you see the ASDA Store on left and the football ground on right, turn right at the traffic lights then right again into Glebe St, next right into Chadwick St and ground straight ahead.

M1, M62, M60 (anti-clockwise): Leave the M60 at junction 14 for the A580 towards Liverpool, take the A579 signposted Bolton and Pennington Flash, continue along this road till you see the ASDA Store on left and the football ground on right, turn right at the traffic lights then right again into Glebe St, next right into Chadwick St and ground straight ahead.
