Leigh RMI manager Mark Patterson has unveiled a former team mate of his as the new Railwaymen assistant manager for the forthcoming season.

Retired former Sheffield United midfielder Phil Starbuck, who knows Patterson from their days together playing for the Blades of Bramall Lane, has been appointed RMI assistant manager.

Starbuck has a UEFA "A" coaching badge, which Patterson believes will help take a lot of pressure off his shoulders and reduce his workload both as RMI manager and his new post as RMI's commercial manager.
