Leigh RMI boss Mark Patterson has completed the signings of three more players as the build-up continues to the start of RMI's Conference campaign which starts on the 9th August at home to last season's play-off finalists Dagenham & Redbridge.
Versatile local-born midfielder Andy Heald has signed a new deal at Hilton Park and he is joined by goalkeeper Ian Martin, who impressed Patterson sufficiently to offer him a permanent contract. Martin has played in all of RMI's pre-season games and will provide back-up for regular goalkeeper Stuart Coburn, who impressed hugely in his first season at RMI last term after he signed from Altrincham barely a year ago.
Following the return of Marcus Hallows after a short period at Stalybridge Celtic and the loan signing of striker Neil Robinson, who has impressed hugely in all of his recent appearances, from Macclesfield Town, Patterson has added the signing of former Northwich Victoria star David McNiven to his squad after the former Hamilton Academicals and York City man impressed Patterson during a trial short period with RMI.
