Andy Roscoe Signs for Railwaymen

Leigh RMI manager Mark Patterson continues to strengthen his squad by confirming the signing of former Exeter, Mansfield and Rotherham midfielder Andy Roscoe on a two-year deal.

Roscoe comes to Hilton Park with over 350 football league appearences under his belt, and he will also end Patterson's search for an experienced left-sided midfielder.

Patterson explained that Roscoe, along with yesterday's loan signing Martyn Forrest, are experienced players and have proven that they can do the job needed to be done.

Roscoe, 30, was released from Exeter at the end of last season. In recent weeks he has been under a non-contract basis with fellow Conference side Halifax Town, but did not make an appearance for the Shaymen.

Both Roscoe and Forrest will make their debuts against struggling Gravesend & Northfleet on Saturday, they will be looking to help RMI to the three points after two sucessive home defeats to Woking and Forest Green.
