Goalkeeper rejoins former club

Leigh RMI goalkeeper Stuart Coburn has departed Hilton Park and rejoined his former club Altrincham in the Unibond Premier League.

Coburn was told earlier in the week by RMI manager Mark Patterson that Patterson wouldn't stand in the way of Coburn should he wish to leave Hilton Park, after becoming frustrated at the emergence of Gary Kelly as RMI's first choice goalkeeper.

The departure of Coburn, who joined RMI last summer, means Kelly is the only senior goalkeeper at Hilton Park, with Ian Martin currently on loan at Burscough.
