Aldershot Town v. Leigh RMI preview

A depleted RMI make the trip to Aldershot on Saturday bereft of no less than five first team regulars as the Railwaymen look to get their bid for Conference survival back on track.

RMI boss Phil Starbuck has to contend with four suspensions affecting his side, while Paul Shepherd is missing through injury.

Carl Rezai and Wayne Maden are both missing from the RMI midfield after being sent off in the 4-3 defeat at relegation rivals Tamworth a fortnight ago, while Martyn Lancaster and top scorer David McNiven both serve one-match bans after picking up five bookings.

The hosts are without midfielder Tony Shields because of a groin injury, while Andy Mumford is out with a fractured elbow.

RMI will be desperate for a vital three points, with the grains of time slowly slipping away and relegation from the Conference looking all the more likely as each winless week passes by. However, it certainly isn't all over and RMI have the ability in order to perform a 'great escape' but it's going to take a hell of a lot of work in order to do it. Hope springs eternal at Hilton Park, however. C'MON LEYTHERS!
