Leigh RMI boss Phil Starbuck has made a new signing as he desperately tries to plug the gap left with Steve Brodie’s departure to Droylsden earlier this week in order to boost RMI’s hopes of Conference survival.

Former Doncaster Rovers and Dagenham and Redbridge striker Tristram Whitman has signed on a month’s loan from Conference rivals Scarborough, and he goes straight in to the side to face Telford United in a vital Conference game at Hilton Park tomorrow.
