Barnet v. Leigh RMI preview

Leigh RMI will potential bid farewell to the Nationwide Conference and end their four-year stay in non-league's top flight on Saturday afternoon when they travel to London to face play-off chasing Barnet.

RMI boss Phil Starbuck has a number of injury worries to contend with as he looks to spoil Barnet's attempts to make it in to the end-of-season promotion play-offs, and leave the Conference with a bang.

Several players look set to bid farewell to the club, including midfielders Paul Shepherd and Warren Peyton, and former captain Martyn Lancaster as Starbuck looks to restructure his side for a promotion bid next season in the newly-formed Conference North, assuming Margate meet the deadline to bring their ground up to Conference standards.

Barnet need to win and hope other results go their way in order to qualify the play-offs, but Starbuck has vowed in the local press this week to do everything he can to get a victory, even if it's only for RMI's small band of loyal travelling supporters.

It's the end of the line for the Railwaymen, let's hope they don't get de-railed.
