FA Cup draw (3rd Qualifying Round)

Following their 3-1 victory at Chester-le-Street on Saturday, Leigh RMI have been rewarded for that victory with a home tie in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

Goals from Chris Simm, Neil Smith and Lee Thompson saw RMI survive their North East banana skin to make it in to the next round, the penultimate qualifying round before the big boys of the Football League enter the competition in the First Round 'Proper'.

RMI were third out of the hat following local sides Northwich, Vauxhall Motors and Skelmersdale to be drawn at home to the winners of tomorrow night's replay between Goole and Conference North rivals Gainsborough Trinity, with the tie to be played at Hilton Park on Saturday 8th October.
