FA Cup news & Gainsborough preview

RMI's possible opponents in the next round of the FA Cup have been decided, should RMI win their Third Qualifying Round replay at Gainsborough Trinity tomorrow night.

After the two Conference North rivals drew 1-1 at Hilton Park on Saturday afternoon, RMI and Trinity meet for the third time already this season when they come head to head at Northolme tomorrow night with a 7.45pm kick off.

Not only will the winners get a cheque for a much-needed £5,000 but they will also earn a home tie against Conference high-flyers York City, and with it a big pay-day for the home side, with the former Football League outfit likely to take a big following to wherever their Fourth Qualifying Round tie will be.

RMI boss Andy Nelson is likely to play much the same side that came away with a draw at a rain-sodden Hilton Park on Saturday, though he will be hopeful that his back four cut out the basic errors that have plagued them in recent weeks, with tomorrow night's encounter being RMI's biggest game of the season by some margin.
