Leigh RMI vs. Northwich Victoria preview

RMI's entire season, maybe even their existence, comes down to just one game on Saturday afternoon when Northwich visit Hilton Park in a game RMI simply have to win.
The tension is building ahead of what has been billed "Judgement Day" at Hilton Park when local rivals Northwich descend on Hilton Park in RMI's final game of the Conference North season. Following the midweek news that RMI have been docked a point due to the fielding of an ineligible player in the 3-3 draw with Worksop, the game takes place against the backdrop of RMI having to win the game and nothing less, with RMI level on points with Redditch going in to the final game of the season.
Redditch host Barrow in their encounter, but Saturday's visitors will be in party mood after they clinched the Conference North title last weekend with a 3-1 victory over Stafford in front of over 3,000 fans at the Victoria Stadium.
Despite playing very well in the corresponding fixture earlier in the season, RMI left Cheshire with only a 1-0 defeat to show for their efforts, and such has been Northwich's dominance this season, the RMI faithful will be praying that Steve Burr and his side take the game lightly, with one eye on preparing for the Conference National next season. The odds of that though are pretty slim, with the Vics still chasing a record points total as they aim to score a century of league goals in the season, as well looking to extend their run of fifteen victories in a row that saw them romp to the top of the table.
A large travelling support is expected at Hilton Park and the atmosphere is sure to be terrific as the RMI support look to get behind their side and shout them on to safety, it certainly won't be for the faint-hearted, and it definitely won't be worth missing out on.
Kick off is at 3pm, admission costs £8 for adults and £5 for concessions - get down to Hilton Park and cheer the lads on!
UP THE LEYTHERS!
