Livingston match (preview)

Suspensions are hurting us this week for the visit of Livingston and in a lot of peoples eyes this is another must win game. Our visitors gave Queen of the South their first win of the season and in reality we have to take the points in this one or we are in deep trouble.

Referee: Stephen Finnie

We have never beat Livingston in the league in fact our only victory over them came in the Challenge Cup final when Steve Archiblads team beat them on penalties.

Paul Lovering and Xavier Barrau are both suspended for today's match leaving Sandy Stewart with a massive head ache called the left hand side of the park.

Neil McGowan who has recovered from the cold, will fill in for Lovering but who will fit in to the left midfield position? The not so obvious answer would be to drop Brian McPhee to right midfield and play Stephen McDougall on he left hand side, leaving Bryan Prunty and Gary Twigg up front.

However that would not be my answer to the problem, see my team line up below.

Sandy stewart thinks that Ross County were a far better team than us in the first half, and their two goals should have been stopped. In the second half we came back and fought a lot more. I was pleased with the players response in the second half but we need the players to start fighting at 3:00pm not 4:00pm.

Sandy feels that Barraus second booking was petty, for pulling a players shorts, we have lost a player for two weeks.

He feels both teams need the points today and it's important that our players realise how this.

Once again Sandy Stewart was interviewed at around about 6:15pm on L107

Opponents News

Last weeks match against Queen of the South had to hurt Livingston, giving any team their first win of the season especially after eleven games.
John Robertson, who played with Sandy Stewart during his time with Hearts, comes to us without Robert Snodgrass and Steven Weir but otherwise his team are fully fit and ready for the trip.
