Rumour and speculation or something else.

From time to time we hear things from different people any thing official we keep to ourselves until the news is announced officially. So here is a little gossip that may or may not have hit the message board, Whether there is any truth in any of this we have no idea but you decide?
Graham Holmes has been offered a two year deal from Dumferline, however he may still talk to Airdrie before making his decision.
Rumours continue about bryan Prunty leaving and signing for our play of opponents Clyde, this was a deal offered to Bryan before the winter transfer window closed and he may now accept.
An ex-Glasgow Rangers player is looking to branch out on his own and may or may not ask a member of our management team to join him, if he accepts a position down south.
Paul Lovering will be suspended for the first four league matches of season 2008 - 2009.
Finally as we all know Allan Russell has signed for Kilmarnock.
Leave you to take an educated guess. No doubting that Kenny Black has coaching ability but something is missing. With a decent budget who knows what he'd be capable of but he'll never be able to have that at this level with us, so obvious chicken and egg situation. If KB is in charge of us next year expect a rehash of this year with the likes of Garry Twigg back.
I'd gamble on a change. If not Andy Smith/Ian Scott, we've always got Colmac and Allstars = real winners!

Heard that Ian Durrant was to replace KB as our manager.
I can just picture the third in command at Ibrox giving up everything he has now and in future for a 25 grand a year job with us

he is training with Airdrie over the summer to see how he enjoys it
did have a few offers on the table though, including east fife willing to pay well over the odds but seemed keen on airdrie....thinking first division probably at the time.

smyth may be leaving.

alan trouten, would be a brilliant signing for the club, he was up for 2nd devision player of the year. He i,s really good on the ball and also takes players on the type of player we have been lacking on the wings this season.
I would like it if kenny, went for players like trouten guys who are standout in 2nd devision and even 3rd devision, who are hungry to prove their good enougth to be playing higher league football
i seen micheal dunlop going to dumbarton, who i believe could be playing higher league football than 2nd devision decent left back good on the ball, the wages at dumbarton must be rubbish i would snap him up.
Other player i thought about during season was gary oconnor who was at east striling decent goalkeeper who is also good at crosses, raith have snapped him up.
I think kenny should snap up decent players who are on rubbish wages, rather focusing 3 extremly good signings because when we have had our main players injured russell, kev macdonald, marc smyth, the team has suffered badly expecially without russell, as squad isnt big enougth.
Bringing in guys who are half decent with point prove on@#$%&wages, enables bigger squad.ther have guys playing out position half our games
Joe savage got released again player who can tackle got 11 goals out 31 games, turned down contract with east stirling.
Mark Peat montrose again another decent goalkeeper who you could probarly get for less than halliwell. I want se kenny sign guys on @#$%& wages with a point to prove to we have bigger squad, dunlop who is signing for dumbarton is another decent player.
I would rather sign two half decent players than sign one guy whos just decent, we need bigger squad.
The man should be sacked, and a new fresh approach brought in.
The majority of the squad can stay but he should be releasing at the very least Waddell & Smith with a few others being possible subject to whether he can attract anyone better.
And Smith? I honestly think that he is one of the players who looks like a wee bit of a prospect. He's got pace, can take a man on and can also defend.
As for Gillies, the guy has only had a handful of appearances, most of which have come off the bench. This is his first pro club, I think we should give him a chance, he seems to be decent and have an idea of what to do.
So, if what kp2311 says is true, then our squad looks like this -
Keepers
Robbo
Hollis
Defenders
Lovering?
McKenna
Smyth
Donnelly
Campbell
Smith
Midfielders
Waddle
McDonald
McDougall
Strikers
Noble
Gillies
Watt
Thats pretty thin...

Would anyone take McGeown back from Ayr?

Janitorial work?

Can someone please tell me whats going on!? Beaten by a part time team in last years play off, that that go on to finish rock bottom of the league, and then pumped by Clyde the 2nd worst team. Marvelous. We really are rocking and rolling eh. Maybe we should start a save Gretna campaign. The thought of taking regular horsings off Thistle, Dunfermline etc is too much to take.
By the way, I 'm happy to give Robbo a run down to Greenock so he can sign for Morton.

We need a new left winger. If is is true about Lovers going into the management team, Waddle would make a fine left back. Much better there than on the wing, I really think he could do a decent job at left back.
And Smith? I honestly think that he is one of the players who looks like a wee bit of a prospect. He's got pace, can take a man on and can also defend.

Would that be the same Smith, whoose lightening pace and defensive awareness, cost us two goals against Clyde???
You must be havin a laugh!! Surely...
