And the wind cries Airdrie

It looks like the wind could have saved today's Irn Bru first division match against Dunfermline, it was rumoured at last nights ceilidh that one more serious downpour and the game would at least require inspection and at worst would be called off early. So far this morning the pitch is playable and no inspection is required. That could change at any time though!

Twice Airdrie have taken on teams sitting at the top of the league and on both occasions we've come away with respectable victories. Can we play the top of the league every week? It looks like it! last week Queen of the South this week Dunfermline.

Kenny Black has a couple of injury worries ahead of todays match, team captain Paul Lovering is out of action with a broken bone in his foot, it's not as bad as first expected but enough to rule him out. Stephen McDougall has picked up a sickness the bug that seems to be doing the rounds, he also has family concern and Kenny Black mentions them in this weeks Advertiser blog.

Dunfermline are without striker Ross Campbell, who has returned to Hibernian after a one-month loan deal. Captain Scott Wilson is doubtful with a hip injury that could require an operation, but striker Iain Williamson is available again after injury.
