Why are the trust allowed to communicate on this forum. They have a seat on the club board which has indicated a refusal to communicate via this medium.

I also noticed that you could pay for your undiscounted early bird season ticket via the forum, Isn't this tantamount to official recognition of the stomp?

I think your missing a key point, as a member of the trust board and one of the administers of the site, I can choose to put what I want on the site!

As for the season tickets, the early bird tickets were something that was asked for by the members of this site so I felt I should take some responsibility for it and see what I could do, if it could have been added to the official site it probably would have been.

Shame the club themselves havn't initiated this & put some effort into it. But heyho that would constitute some sort of a long term strategy which they couldnt possibly contemplate....

The KEY point is, The Trust as a member of the football club board is communicating on a board that the club do not recognise. The situation regarding the club, the trust and this forum needs clarification. You can't ask for money or input then discard the opinions of the same people.

So why is clarification suddenly needed? We've posted numerous events on behalf of both the club and trust with out any concern from anyone, why now?

For everyones information, the club never asked for the early bird season tickets to be done, we went to them with a proposal and after discussion it was accepted.

Maybe your trying to suggest that the Trust should have it's own website, we've tried and it didn't work, cost money that can better be spent by giving it to the club.

So the Stomp will continue to post things on behalf of the trust and any other events that Airdrie fans may be interested in.

How about a club for the under 14's where they can meet before the game, play video games, or watch tv? A couple of second hand xboxes and a game rental account from Boomerang would cover that. You could have FIFA 09 tournaments with prizes for the winners. The club could be supervised by one or two volunteers who have kids, thereby preventing shennanigans. The players could also be invited up to talk to the kids, maybe one or two per home game. They could sign autographs. You could also ask for sponsorship from local businesses, such as the cinema in Coatbridge, or the bowling, and have a raffle for a pair of tickets.

The upshot of it all could be that kids would invite their friends, and soon you'd have a group of younger supporters coming through.

Why dont the trust ask for a page on the clubs website ?

The club's paying for hosting anyway, so why not have a Kid'z Klub or something on the website. Put up player profiles, comments, manager chat, stuff like that.

I do't believe it is possible to use the official site in this way at the moment.

why not ? it's just another page, you guys in the trust have probabley paid for it anyway, grow a pair and tell them that's what you want.

Remember they used to announce over the tannoy at Broomfield an under 16 season ticket holder could travel on the team bus to an away game? Why not something like that?

I remember I won it the day we were playing Partick. I opted to go on the decker with the other drunks. That was the day the driver got pished on from upstairs and they took the bus to the polis station I believe.

The club seem to be on a mission to drive away as many fans as possible. Why would they go out their way to try and develop our future support?

Why the need for the Trust to have site of their own or a page on the Official site?As Chris has stated he,as Admin of this site can post what he thinks benefits the Club and supporters.By the same token,why should this site be a communication for people arranging bus-runs to ska dos and stag nights?Maybe they should start their own site,like Allstars did,when some were commenting on their details being used on here.Seems to me that are a few on here that just use this site to shi t stir and aren't in the least interested in the welfare of the club.Of course,I might be mistaken.

Well done to the Trust for taking up the reins to set up a kids club and to Chris for keeping us up to date on this. It's very sad that ANYONE would think it prudent to complain about any of this. Shame on you and go elsewhere to grind your very obvious axe, because kids are the future of every football club and don't need their enthusiasm curbed by petty, nit picking adults.

get a grip, people who you are slating have been pushing this idea for 20 years, people like you are putting down the very people who kept your club alive, people like you are determined to take the club into boredon and tedium, without ever having baws to ask a question, you my friend are welcome to it, you and your lack of history are what is wrong,.

dear oh dear, was it the axe to grind bit that rattled your rather large cage? As for my lack of history - you don't even come close when it comes to either supporting this club or asking the questions that matter, SON.

children children calm down,any info from the club on this site is a bonus as their own site is shambles,maybe they are starting to listen in their own very odd way

I think this is an ace idea and should be encouraged not heckled.
