I would say that it's the verdict of Livingstons appeal and not whether they appeal or not that would affect tomorrows result.

What a feckin joke.

Looking at it selfishly, we are expected to go and compete against a County side geared up for a scrap in Divison 1 witha side which we hoped would be competetive (and win) Divison 2

Not only that, but the result will be "provsional" so if it all goes @#$%& up, County would have to play Livi, us Arbroath etc etc?

We were dreadful at County last season in the league, I can only imagine what tomorrow's will be like with our current squad.

How do you motivate players when it "might not actually count"

<> Spitzy - the game WILL be played. The sfl statement reads -

The RESULTS involving the clubs Airdrie, Cowdenbeath & Livingston will become provisional if an appeal is lodged by Livingston.

the fact the games are going ahead would send a message to Livingston not to bother appealling as the blazers believe they've got it right this time. If not they've created one of those daft pub quiz questions which would be an utter embarrasement to all involved.

<> I can see us being the subject of A Question Of Sport question in years to come, along the lines of - Which Scottish team escaped relegation twice, on the last occassion only being confirmed in the higher league 1 day before kick off, only then to be demoted to the lower league a few weeks later with their results void?

Cue puzzled faces from the English faces and gasps of " did that really happen? No way! " <>

If that baldy pr!ck Rankine would just take his medicine and feck off then this mess would be over.

If he and MacDougall really want to invest in a football club then they should speak to JB, he's sent out an open invitation.

Otherwise they'll need to do what Clyde did and live within their means.

The worst thing is, we STILL cannot sign any new players to help in our 1st division battle, as we could end up back in division 2 in a few weeks.

So we effectively have a weakened team until we know for sure.

By that point our 2nd division team could be bottom of the league and past the transfer deadline to do anything about strengthening the team! JOKE!

GD it's very likely KB would have signed even more of the failure squad than he has done if he knew we would be in Division 1. Unless he goes against past form, we will have a squad struggling to get off the foot of the league. So let's just take our medicine for this season, get rid of KB next May, then get a new man in to build a squad to get us out of the second division.

Q-Surely they cant expect clubs to play games in a Division then the following week send one of those clubs to a different division and say the game is null and void.

A-Yes they can they are the SFL (Sm100)

To be honest if our game goes ahead i think we can safely say were in that Div to stay, well for a season at least if KB's keeps to his normal run of things (Sm105) but then the again the SFL are a law unto themselves at times.

Really do think that if Livi have any hope of winning an appeal then the SFL would hold back us playing our games until that decision has been made.

What a bunch a crap!

Our game and those invovling Cowdenbeath and the soon to be not-all-that-lamented Livi should NOT be taking place tomorrow. I may have misread what it said on the club-site a couple of nights ago (when it said our home game tomorrow wouldn't go ahead) but I seriously thought the SFL would see sense and postpone the season's start if Livi were demoted (as had been hinted at) until this was resolved.

Could it be they are feart they may have to pay compensation to teams who had games cancelled / thought their opposition may have bigger away crowds - Ross Co had threatened this. Arbroath should have been away to us but I don't know whether they'd be home or away in the revised set-up and Div 3 had no interest so can't comment on that.

On this basis, maybe we could seek compensation, as we should have had a home game and - although we wouldn't stand to lose as much - potentially - as County would by not hosting Livi, we ARE going to to lose some revenue.

SFL = FARCE!
