Airdrie Eleven

If you bought a program on Saturday you will have noticed a new section "The Favorite Airdrie 11" sponsored by Cue Here. Due to his sponsorship Gary C was given the opportunity to select his Favourites.

As you may guess, such illustrious players like Johnny Martin were mentioned. Gary however after the decision three weeks ago to allow Livingston to stay in the league choose a much different 11.

1. George Peat----- " Safe " with his hands.. very loyal,  and indeed was " on our books " for years.
2. David Murray.   Always first to get involved, and always one to start the " winding up "
3. Gordon McDougall.  No t the most loyal, having played for / tried to buy a few  different clubs.Usually wanted to bring his own ball.
4. Neil Rankine. Similar to McDougall.  Indeed a pairing that many a team would, ultimately, pay for.
5. David Syme..Not one to bother with the basic rules of the game. Sheer arrogance seemed to get him far.
6. Blair Nimmo.  Could be relied upon to supply " the finishing , killer touch ". Not a great team player
7. Andy Gemmill.. The Spoiler. . ready to pick up any cheap scraps, nut ultimately always retreated when questions asked.
8. Steve Archibald.  Full of potential.  Very vocal and a leader in his own house. Ultimately never delivered.
9. SFL   Maybe not one for the spine of the team, it lacking any spine ! Not one to make the right decison, ever
10 . KPMG. Thought himself important enough to need no name. A name to strike fear into any team / Business
11. Angelo Massone. The Joker.  Seemed to be confused most of the time, not quite grasping the basics of the game, or business, or rules, or money.

Surely BILL the BARRSTARD would get a first-team slot?
