So why is it listed as Airdrie v Kilmarnock? Have we given up ground advantage? or is it 2 legs?

All games must be played at the home teams stadium, however as I understand it, the stadium company were not willing to allow the boys to play at the stadium or were charging an astronomical amount of money for them to use it. Therefore, they were forced to give up home advantage.

<> If that is true then it is a disgrace - so much for the stadium co. supporting the local community & youth.

Perhaps Liam Brindle will come on here and confirm if this is true, as he was quick enough to pick up Lord Roden. <>

Well done lads on winning.

If that is true about the stadium owners they should be ashamed of themselves and start wearing masks do they think its the emirates stadium they are running? Money is money in this day you think they would be happy with any buisness.

Congratulations to the lads on their victory.

Agree with others, surely if the stadium owners are the "Airdrie minded" people they profess to be, they should be encouraging all teams, from the kids through to Kenny's 1st team guys, to use the stadium.

By all means charge outsiders the going rate for renting the facilities, but for crying out loud, why not give reduced rates to the football club and it's affiliated teams?

We need to have a team and a stadium that works together, if they can't / won't, we'll end up with the Livi situation happening in Airdrie.

GET A GRIP, EVERYONE!!

Come on lads/lasses,do we really know that the reason that we played at Rugby Park was down to the Stadium Management's prices etc?? OK,so one of the Stadium Management "alledgedly" mentioned that Airdrie United was about fourth/fifth in his/her priorities, but does that really give us the right to jump to conclusions? Personally,I think it does BUT that it is only my opinion and POSSIBLY NOT one shared by any member of the Trust Board,Trust,or any other AIRDRIE SUPPORTER.IF this offends any one,TOUGH @#$%&.Yours in sport,Lord Roden.(Sm156)

congrats on the win lads. see it's Clyde in the next round, a harder task I'd reckon, as some of them will be playing first team footie in the 2nd Div. on a regular basis.

any more info wrt the stadium issue? there's time to make amends in this/future draws, if the owners take it, that is.

<> LR - there's been an accusation made about the stadium owners alleged lack of co - operation with the youth team - either financially and/ or practically. Aye we can speculate till the cows come home on what happened but the point is Liam Brindle harried your case when you made comments on here - as, by your own understanding Mr. Brindle & co. monitors this forum. It seems now it's all quiet on the Craigneuk front - or perhaps Behind The Dugout has received, like you did - a PM from Liam Brindle?

I think there would be many of us on here would welcome some PR initiative from him to explain the stadium owners position on why the youth team had to play their home tie at an away ground. Speculation again - but what kind of signals does this send out to young players, their families and fans?

To many it may just be the youth team, but surely it's something the Trust should be raising with the stadium owners either via the club and/ or fans rep? <>

Every time I look at the under 19s bit on the OS, this Ryan Donnelly boy seems to be scoring 2 or 3 goals a game. Has anyone seen him play? Worth a go in the first team maybe?
