Airdrie United have rewarded young striker Scott Morton with a new contract for next season after the former Queen’s Park youngster impressed Manager Jimmy Boyle. Morton netted on his debut as a substitute against Dumbarton in February to grab a point for the Diamonds and he netted a last minute winner against Forfar last month as well in a similar role

Morton made his first start last weekend and scored the winner against Dumbarton to leave Boyle saying, “Scott signed his contract just before the game. Scoring the winning goal was not a bad way to mark it.”
