Supporters Direct Scotland - Review

Supporters Direct Scotland was invited to attend a review group for the JAG (Joint Action Group). The JAG was established following the Football Summit in March to develop proposals to deliver the 8 Summit commitments and has representation from the Scottish Football Association, the Scottish Premier League, the Scottish Football League, Celtic Football Club, Rangers Football Club, the Police and the Scottish Government.

It has been agreed that the JAG will continue meeting until the end of November with a focus on supporting the further development of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill and to considering and agreeing further measures to tackle unacceptable supporter conduct.

The Review group met on Thursday 20th October where SDS were granted more time  to suggest revisions to the SPL's Rules on Unacceptable Conduct which can be downloaded from the SD website. We would be grateful if you could speak to your fellow supporters and tell us about any revisions you think would be worthwhile.

There have already been suggestions made for changes from other members of the review group therefore it is important that supporters views are also reflected in the updated SPL rules. You may wish in particular to concentrate attention on the definition of "disorderly conduct" in H7.4.3 and the categories referred to in H7.4.5 and comment on whether you think these are correct or could be improved.
