Well Mr Bollan welcome to our frustration! Now you know how much work you have to do to turn things around at our club.
I’m going to be honest here and say I expected to get gubbed on Saturday and by gubbed I mean beat by more than what looked like an unstoppable free kick. Although, the free kick that rattled off the bar in first half should have been a warning not to give Ayr a free kick just outside the penalty box – Martin Hardie.
I also loved watching Mark Roberts time wasting techniques heading the ball away, waving to the fans to keep hold of the ball that went in amongst them I could go on, but I think that shows that Ayr weren’t getting things their own way and even a very poor Airdrieonains still had him worried. Am I taking that as a positive I suppose I am.
In the end Airdrieonains lost the match to an Anthony Marenghi free kick on 53 minutes. We couldn’t defeat a ten man team when Kyle McAusland was red carded for head butting Martin Hardie, which shouldn’t suprise us! But that’s where the frustration amongst the Airdrie fans comes from no desire, no cutting edge, the wrong choices being made time after time after time.
