Prediction League:- Airdrieonians V Albion Rovers (Match 1)

As I haven't seen any of the pre-season matches due to holidays Saturday's match will be my first chance to see Gary Bollan new look Airdrieonians. I don't care what anyone thinks but there are no favourites when it comes to a local Derby in a one off match. that doesn't mean I'm feeling good about the match or the season ahead i'm simply just cautious.

We still need another twelve competitors to be able to launch the prediction league and although the closing date for entry is Saturday at 3pm I will delete Saturday's fixture and extend the date to firstly the Stenhousemuir cup game, however there will be no extension by the first league match of the season. Strangely enough away to Stenhousemuir.

As always I have predicted 2-1 wins for Airdrieonains but I am not taking part as I don't think I should be allowed to win my own competition.

The first quarters fixtures are now available for predicting still need 11 entrants for the Challenge Cup match to count.

Only 8 out of 20 registered predictors have made a prediction, it looks as if this fixture will be deleted from the prediction league but don't take the chance in missing the first game.
