A double from Bryan Prunty gives Airdrie our first three points in the Scottish League one and moves us up too sixth in the league.
Airdrie's first goal was scored in 36 mins, McAleer played in Prunty who slotted home. The second was two minutes later Prunty again after a set piece.
The game changed when McAleer was shown a straight red. On 72 minutes Andy Jackson got Brechin back in to the match after Neil Parry had given away a penalty. Parry saved the initial shot from Jackson, but the Brechin player scored from the second ball.
Airdrie held on to secure the points.
