Iain King on local radio (Revival) on Friday (25th). He was on for about 15-20 minutes, very upbeat and positive. Here's a snapshot of what was covered and said:-

v Rangers:- " A difficult night...feared the worst early on...got Rangers at the wrong time".

Sun newspaper to Airdrie FC?:- "Tom Wotherspoon a long time friend...opportunity came at the right time/background with EK & BSC football teams/clubs".

Starting off:- "Initial focus on Gary Bollan and the squad for promotion...now looking at the Academy and to bolster and beef it up. I'm taking the Under 20s and working with a good squad".

The league:- "Everybody can beat everybody in the league...big test standing up to Dunfermline. Gary Bollan doing a really good job...options and competition for places up front". IK went on to praise the players in general, in particular David Cox ("gives every shred he's got") and Liam Watt.

General comments:- "Club progressing...want to put footprint back into the community...further developments and news re Academy - aiming to breed 50% of 1st team from youth". IK also appreciated the efforts of the Supporters Trust, saying it was "magnificent".

Where finish end of the season?:- "Play off spot - top 4".
