Airdrieonians standings after nine games.

I like coincidences in numbers for instance at this stage of the season in 2013-2014 we had lost five of our nine games and in my strange little mind if you continually lose against five teams in the league and are lucky enough to beat the others then your going to end 5th or 6th.
As I said I'm sure it's just coincidence or am I simply making the numbers fit a train of thought, you decide.
You can see from the tables below In the last two seasons 2013-2014, 2014-2015 after nine games we've had five loses. Last season we finished 5th the season before finished 6th is that coincidence?
| 2013-2014 | |||
| W | D | L | Total Points |
| 2 | 2 | 5 | 8 |
| Legue Position | 8th (finished 6th) | ||
| 2014-2015 | |||
| W | D | L | Total Points |
| 2 | 2 | 5 | 8 |
| Legue Position | 10th (finished 5th) | ||
So looking at this season does that mean we're going to finish the season in 4th or the dreaded 5th yet again?
| 2015-2016 | |||
| W | D | L | Total Points |
| 4 | 1 | 4 | 13 |
| Legue Position | 4th | ||
With a long way to go in the season the only thing we do know is we have had a better start than the previous two seasons.
I would also like to draw your attention to another coincidence The Man in Black leader of the prediction league has thirteen points.

Started terrible, then things looked up & now we seem to be back to square one.
At least we have seen a bit of promise now and then but we are still way off the pace needed to keep pace with the teams above us. If GB can string 3 or 4 good results together I think it will go along way to settle the squad and who knows we may even be able to stay in the top 4.......
This season, have a pretty decent start in terms of our standard, sitting in top 4 and not in the bottom 2 at the end of the first quarter and suddenly it isn't good enough ? Aye, its granted that the games we haven't picked points up in, minus Ayr, haven't been glorious, but to be sitting where we are at this stage in a season is a wonderful thing in my eyes. There's nobody in the league that can't be beaten by anyone else. We're all capable of taking points from everyone. Not brilliant for us but at the same time its never a bad thing.
We go on the post Christmas run again and there won't be a peep from anyone anywhere about us not being good enough, but because of a few defeats its all doom and gloom..
Have good faith in the team. We'll be top 4 come the end of the season. Couldn't care less who ends where and how far off top we are, because top 4 is all that matters for promotion.
