No strips no tickets and a youth team? Bring back Ballantyne

Aye no much point in youth team when they are off at first chance,if top clubs in Scotland have to buy ready first team players .then what chance have we .has any other of our youth players made a step up apart from Tony Watt,after all it's the first team that should have top billing if we can get them to do well all will follow on.

Some people need to take a long hard look at themselves. TW is doing exactly what he said.

This is the best and probably only chance the new Airdrie will ever have to get out this downward cycle. All Airdrie fans should be buying into this project and offering TW our full support. There will be no DDA to save us next time.

Faults yes, mistakes made yes but come on are you aware of all the reasons behind why certain things have or haven't happened? Maybe there might be the (cough) small matter of sponsors to go on the strip, season tickets maybe some valid reason too, maybe could have handled some players better but others have left because well they wanted to/better offer - happened before many times over the decades, will happen again...

Just ignore all the good stuff - TW investing his cash into Airdrie, Under 20s finished 2nd in their league, plenty of sponsors and businesses giving support to the club and youths, long term ambition of TW, Ravenscraig etc...

Complete negative opinion with no balanced view would scunner anyone in charge. I think you are being very unfair with your views. Be careful what you wish for - if you want to return to managed decline under Ballantyne (where to be fair to him he laterally was in a difficult position) then so be it - good luck with that. <>

Because you're young team won't be good enough. Everybody knows that in this league you need two big centre halfs and a big striker. Right now what happens if we get an injury,suspension etc?

Yes because we were brilliant with Lithgow, Crighton and Lister?

It's July 11th. We have a very promising team on the pitch just now, a mix of young and old. There is a need for 2-3 players yet but thats achievable before the league starts.

In 3 pre season games I've seen so far I'd say our manager has the side set up better than anyone in a while. The fans will back him.

We have some promising youths and Russell and Ryan will score us a bucketload of goals. Both are a touch of class.

You said real Airdrie fans arent happy. I've not met one this preseason who isn't happy. And I'm the crabbitest one around.

, As, most of you know, i slated TW and the manager last season, but i am quietly confident for the new season,as above post says, we have a mix of youth and experience plus full time hopefully helps, mon the Diamonds, PS, if we are playing bad i will put the crabit posts back on

<> Unfortunately Ceecil has come on here and taken personal pot shots at TW and ignored any good things from TW/the club and the wider work (incl. Dougy and others securing vital sponsorship) that is being done. It is an insult to those who are working hard (either directly or indirectly involved with the club) to improve the club and its standing in the community.

I am not on here to close down discussion and opinion because by their own admission the owner(s) are not perfect and have/will make mistakes and most, if not all of us will have disagreed or have a difference of opinion on something or other club owners have/haven't done over the years. But to think where we were before, losing the club and how close we were again just a few years ago - the last thing we need is some ungrateful "supporter" going into a rant about perceived inadequacies of the current club owner.

Get a grip! We are playing to crowds of 600-800 and we have an owner who has been willing to invest his time, money and energy into supporting the club, re-energising it and laying down long term ambitions for it. <>

You either weren't at the last Q & A or choose to ignore what was said - TW has propped up the club. How on earth do you think we have sustained ourselves in the last year - are you forgetting Ballantyne had to get a £20k injection of cash a few seasons ago just to see out till the end of the season? Maybe when you sit in the stadium and see 9300 empty seats you have deluded yourself into thinking they are all filled with punters paying £16 a head?

Maybe you should ask TW to buy you a drink at the bar in Cue Here tonight seeing as you think he should be giving his money away!

Personally I don't mind you having an opinion, and coming on here in a reasoned and open way with that opinion.
