Prediction League Game 12 Albion Rovers 1 Vs. 2 Airdrieonian

Airdrieonains got a little piece of revenge as we defeated Albion Rovers 2-1 on thier own turf. With all the termoil of the last few days it wasn good to just settle down to a match. Scott Stewart was replaced by Sean McIntosh due to and ankle injury but other than that the team and formation were unchanged from previous weeks.
Airdrie's opening goal came from Andy Ryan, he recieved a clearance inside the Rovers box and then led thier defence on a merry dance before striking a fine shot in to the back of the net, seven minutes gone and Airdrie were 1-0 up.
Iain Russell then doubled the Diamonds lead, an Adam Brown freekick breaks to the edge of the Rovers box and Russell strikes a volley that flies past the keeper.
Airdrie went in at half time cruising 2-0.
The second half started mostly even but as Andy Ryan began to tire from his exhersions as the lone striker, Albion Rovers chose then to change thier formation to a 3-4-3 and the game began to turn in thier favour. In the last 10 minutes of the match Albion Rovers had a goal chopped off for offside, struck the cross bar, won a penalty which was struck of the upright and then finally scored from a corner that was poorly defended. Airdrie after such a great start were now under the cosh and we were very happy to hear the final whistle and to take home the three points.

The prediction league has a new leader Dougie Lawries Ears has taken the top spot from The Man in Black who has now dropped to third behind Chris Mac.

Today was a good day for the team and the new management there are still a few gaps, but a wins a win.
