Prediction League Game 13 Airdrie 1 vs 0 Brechin

I felt that last weeks win over Albion Rovers was the first time we had fought like a team for a win, which was a massive step for us. Yesterdays win over Brechin was another strong team performance and proof that the team are getting stronger.
Over the seasons i've seen a lot of tough tackling teams but it's been a long time since i've felt for our players and the bruises they're going to wake up with this morning. But the players rode the tackles and battled back to earn the win while Brechin lost thier composure recieving four yellow cards and straight red. But we rode every tackle and fought back earning ourselves a chance at three points.
On 53 minutes Airdrie got the chance to break the dead lock Dougie Hill raised his hands in the penalty box and redirected the ball and referee Craig Napier pointed to the spot and up steps Iain Russell. The Brechin goal keeper went the correct way but the ball went under him and Airdrie were 1-0 up. We battled for that lead and three points and held on to it until the final whistle making it four wins out of four for the Diamonds.

Dougie Lawries Ears has extended his lead at the top of the prediction league to three points ahead of Chris Mac who is in turn is a single point ahead of the Man in Black.
