Stevie Cooper Tribute day

Every year we here of another player who passes away suddenly, some of these players touch the hearts of fans so much that they become legends. Even if it is only amongst the fans who have seen them play on a regular basis.

The following is an extract from the Clyde programme, that I thought Airdrie Fans would like to see.
- "A tribute day has been organised for the late Stevie Cooper who died suddenly last year. Coops is fondly remembered by the Airdrie faithful. His semi final winner at Hampden against Hearts in the 1994-95 Scottish Cup is revered. The tribute day has been organised by fans of one of Stevies other clubs, Peterborough United. The event will held on 1st. May 2005, London Rd, Peterborough, with all proceeds raised going to the Stevie Cooper Trust for his young children.
- We wish the organisers every success in this much deserved Tribute to a player who gave the Airdrie fans some great times."
The Airdrie United Supporters Trust will be arranging an event to support this, whether it be a collection at the player of the year night or some other event we are not sure, your suggestions would be gratefully received.
