The poaching of Alan Gow from us and then the news that Marvyn Wilson may also leave the team has left Airdrie fans feeling a bit low.

Well here are some things that may help lift the doom and gloom.

We all know the Stephen McKeown has re-signed for us, giving us a developing squad that looks like this.

The latest stories relating to the club say that Brian McPhee, will become a Diamond later this week. It is also being speculated that Stephen Docherty will be signing a contract to stay with us.

The other rumours concerning the arrival of David McKewan from Hamilton can now be knocked on the head as he has agreed a new contract with Hamilton. One of the players Sandy Stewart has attempted to sign in the past Mark Smythe seems destined to Join Partick Thistle a £5000 deal is supposed to be on offer for Mark to leave A@r.

To start some speculation icould it be true the Airdrie are looking at Scott Bannerman, Paul Walker midfielders Stephen Hamilton and John Maisano from Morton?

Could Sandy also be looking at teaming up the Kilmarnock mid-field of Martin Hardie, Alan Mahood and the legendary Mark Roberts?
