Airdrie striker turned mid-field battler Stephen McKeown has penned a two year contract that will see him stay at Airdrie until May 2008.

Stephen an almost ever present in this seasons squad has found a new home in mid-field and replaced Marvyn Wilson in the holding role. Stephen has also taken on the mantle of team penalty taker with relish.

Stephen has had 85 first team starts, played 36 games off the bench and scored twenty nine goals in the Diamonds

So well done Stephen you deserve this after all your hard work and persistance.

This is Sandy Stewarts third full time signing and may stop some of the speculation concerning the team going part time.
