A few months ago, we did a piece on Owen Coyle becoming villain of the piece, well with the signing of Allan McManus on a pre-contract agreement I’m changing that prediction.

Owen Coyle has become a massive pain in the ar@e and has caused more disruption to Airdrie than any other factor in the last few months. Before anyone thinks I’m just protecting the club once again consider this.

Owen Coyle has now signed Martin Hardie and Allan McManus on pre-contract deals, McManus as far as I am concerned he can now rot on the bench for the rest of the season.

Coyle has also approached, Stephen McKeown, Stephen McDougall and Willie McLaren all in the last few months. Another player has also been approached and before I can mention his name, I await official confirmation on this.

Many will think that this is Coyle looking after himself and yes you are probably correct, but we also have to think that as assistant manager of Airdrie he had inside information on contracts and wages, making it damn near impossible for the club to fight these underhand tactics.

Owen Coyle once a hero to the Airdrie faithful is fast becoming the villain of the peace and something needs done about it and fast.
