ROUGHYEDS V ROBINS

Oldham meet Hull KR in this first round elimination match of the 2002 Play-Off's. The Roughyeds can expect the usual friendly welcome from the notoriosly passionate Robin's supporters, Craven Park is never an easy place to visit but Oldham know that this must win this game or their season will come to an end. The winners face a trip to Spotland to take on Rochdale Hornets in the second round.

ORLFC player-coach Steve Molloy is hopefull that his side can overcome the Robins and progress to the next round. Brian Henare and David Gibbons are expected to be declared fit and their return should provide the Roughyeds with a must needed boost. Paul Norton may also be inline for a welcome return, Norton will undergo a scan of his neck and refuses to rule himself out of Sunday's match.

Oldham's season has been plagued with injuries to key players and the side deserve great credit for the way that they have battled this season. The Roughyeds have achieved their main objective by qualifying for these play-off's and ensuring that they will be playinmg in the NFP's top division next season, anything else will be a bonus and Oldham can go into the play-offs with nothing to lose.
