ORISA MEETING

Minutes of a meeting held on Wednesday 20th November at Clayton Arms

The meeting opened at 8.15pm with Mr D Patterson in the chair.

PRESENT
: Mr & Mrs Patterson, Mrs Ogden, Mr Heap, Mr Hannon, Mr Firth, Mr Harrop, Mr Dudley, Mr Middleton, Mrs Scott, Mrs Wild, Mrs Walker, Mr & Mrs Walker, Mr Cockcroft, Mr Maloney.

APOLOGIES
Mr Sedgwick, Mr Plevin, Mrs Rwlands, Mr & Mrs Shyne, Mr Ogden, Angela, Mr & Mrs Salway.

The minutes were passed around to members and read with no amendments being made.

MATTERS ARISING 1 Sylvia reported that before we start the meeting, that there was to be a presentation of three caps, which belonged to Mr Frank Spottiswoode and Mr Peter Heap. Which would be presented to the heritage trust on behalf of ORISA and it was suggested that the Chronicle comes to the next meeting.
2 Sylvia said that Joanne would be updating the database as soon as possible.
3 Sylvia said that Peter had tried to get the minutes on the website but it is still being sorted out.
4 Sylvia reported that we had not enough people interested in the brewery trip so she asked Peter to cancel the trip and thanked him for all the effort he had put in to make the trip possible.
5 The fans forum is still being sorted out with Colin Morris for some time in the future.
6 Sylvia reported that she had been to Zutti to see about a plate for ORISA to have on sweatshirts and t-shirts etc. And was told the plate would be £130, polo shirts £15 and if we wanted ORISA on rugby shirts it would be £3 to £5 it was agreed we order the plate.
7 Sylvia asked Neil to report on the pool and darts. He said that the Queens was not available before Christmas and it was thought best that we wait until after Christmas.
8 Sylvia said that we were going to leave Sponsoring a game in abeyance for the time being.
9 Sylvia said she was waiting for a fixture list so she could let K Matt coaches know when we need them.
10 Sylvia also remarked that we are hoping to enter a team in the Golf tournament next year.
11 Sylvia reported that Neil and Lee had entered the London Marathon but would not know anything until December.
12 Sylvia reported that she had not heard anything about York races family day as David Haslop has been working away.
13 Sylvia mentioned the Waterhead dinner and David said we had attained a Salford Reds shirt and a Terry O’Conner Wigan shirt in the auction and it came to £145.
14 Sylvia mentioned that a fun day should be considered for next year. Waterhead have offered their premises.

TREASURERS REPORT
Margaret reported that in the bank at the moment is £934.54 and £42 in hand bringing the total to £976.54.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

1 Sylvia asked if anybody had any proposals and Brian Walker suggested ORISA organize a reunion for old players.
2 Sylvia said that Brad was looking into a day out at Bradford Bulls and also were looking at Tetley breweries.

The date of the next meeting is 11th December at the Clayton Arms at 8pm.
