Sunday 5/5/02 at Hurst Cross KO 3:30pm. The Roughyeds resume their National Cup campaign after last weeks enforced rest. The winners of this game are almost certain to qualify for the elimination stage of the tournament. Batley are far from pushovers and this could prove to be a close encounter....
The Roughyeds will have to do without both Phil Farrell and Danny Guest, who are still recovering from injuries. Steve Molloy is expected to start the game against his hometown club.

Oldham, Batley, Rochdale and Dewsbury are all currently level on four points, Dewsbury have now completed their matches and the Roughyeds have a far superior goal differance to that of the Hornets.
