Sunday 9/2/02 at Hurst Cross KO 3:30pm. The Roughyeds face an in-form Whitehaven side and can expect another difficult match against of the the NFP's top sides. After 2 poor performances Oldham know they need to start climbing up the table if they are to stand any chance of finishing in the top 9...
Again, the Roughyeds have several injury doubts - Brian Henare sustained an eye injury at Kighley, in a clash of heads with team mate Jason Clegg. Henare has badly scratched an eyeball but hopes to be fit for the Whitehaven game. Also in doubt are John Braddish who's chances of making the game are said to be very doubtfull. Oldham's other casualties Paul Norton, Keith Brennan and Steve Molloy should all recover in time for Sunday's game.

Oldham face Whitehaven Warriors in a game that they cannot afford to lose. After two poor performances against Rochdale Hornets and Keighley Cougars, ORLFC coach John Harbin knows that his side will have to do much better in order to overcome an in-form Warriors side.
The Roughyeds received some good news this week when Joey Hayes was declared fit to return to first team action. Hayes will be given a run out in the Alliance team this week and could be included in the squad to face Whitehaven. ORLFC have announced that John Harbin has made a formal complint to the Rugby League about the performance of referee Steve Nicholon after studying a video of Sunday's game against Keighley.
