Sauber Speak speak to Sauber!

Sauber Speak recently asked you what, given the chance, you would ask Peter Sauber. We took those questions to Geoff Collins at Pitpass.com and had those questions put forward to Peter Sauber himself.

First up was subh, who asked "Can your new car finish second, or even win a race?"

Peter Sauber: "We aim to be fighting against Renault, and alongside BAR and Toyota who have improved last year. Of course if both cars from the big three teams drop out of a race that presents other opportunities."

Then my own question was asked: "How long do you feel it will be before Sauber can challenge for the championship, and is this going to be possible while remaining a customer of Ferrari?"

Peter Sauber: "Sauber is concentrating its efforts on re-attaining fourth place in the championship. [Their new wind tunnel is clearly intended to lift the team's performance, but there was no mention of becoming championship contenders]
