Something that I was told today inspired this article. I've been left wondering whether Derby County are a biger football club than us and whether we are a bit jealous of that. We've already established that we need them to go down to keep our dignity.

Something that someone said to me today inspired this article. It made me think, Are Derby County a bigger football club than Nottingham Forest? At first I just dismissed this question from my mind- I though: Of course not. Then I began to think beyond my loyalties and I found that there were good arguments on both sides.

Nottingham Forest's most famous ever manager and the man most often associated with the club. Where did he first achieve amazing success? Derby County. Our greatest ever manager that we love the most was first belonging to Derby County and did not wish to leave, he was only forced to through his fall out with the Derby chairman who thought he was bigger than the club. BUT, Brian Clough did not achieve as much success with the sum a he did here. Whilst at Forest Cloughie's achievements included back to back European successes. And he was Trentside longer than he was Popside.

We also get higher attendances than our cousins the molesters of sheep. We proved last week that we have an amazing fan base- selling out the City Ground... against Stoke. They could never do this despite the fact that they have a bigger stadium. But thinking about it, why do Derby have a bigger stadium? Oh no, it's because they are capable of bringing in more fans... but only when they're doing well. Glory supporters? Prideless Park is the wrong place to look!

Derby had a spell in the top-flight of English football more recently than Forest. Two seasons ago they were a decent Premiership side who were unlucky to have been relegated. While they were doing this we were stuck towards the bottom of the First Division playing some of the worst football I have ever seen. Under David Platt.

I'm just gonna leave you guys to think about this because I am now truly baffled. My mind is going to working overtime for weeks now as I try to work out who is the bigger club. Derby. or forest.
